NABNASSET — A New Hampshire man faces intoxicated driving charges, following a car crash on Oak Hill Road over the weekend, which led to his arrest.
Shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, the Westford Police Department responded to an emergency call, reporting that a car had crashed into the front yard of 29 Oak Hill Road.
Officers at the scene said the car struck a rock wall and a utility pole that was alongside the road, before driving into the yard.
The driver of the car, 58-year-old Daniel Crogan of Merrimack, New Hampshire, was the sole occupant of the car and was uninjured. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the crash.
Following an investigation by officers at the scene, Crogan was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation, due to his car travelling off the road and crossing the white fog line.
Crogan was due in court Monday morning at Ayer District Court.
