The F.A.M.E. Annual Dinner Dance is returning to the beautiful Westford Regency on Friday, April 17, from 7 – 11 pm. This marks the 16th year of the event, which raises funds for supporting the nationally recognized music program, including band, orchestra and chorus, in the Westford Public Schools. This event provides a fun and entertaining opportunity for the community to be involved.

The annual spring fundraiser is an evening of fun, food, and entertainment. The theme of this year’s Dinner Dance is “Hats Off to Music”, featuring more than 90 of Westford Public Schools’ talented student musicians.
“It is amazing to see how this celebration of music in our schools has grown over the past 16 years”, says Ron Gagnon, President of F.A.M.E. It is a unique event where the students get to perform in a setting more similar to a paid “gig”, versus a school music concert. It teaches them more about “real world” experiences, and life outside the classroom.”
“The uniqueness extends to those attending because of the wide range of music performed by our students throughout the night both during dinner, and later for dancing or listening with that last glass of wine.” Gagnon adds. “It is more like being at a professional dinner club than a school concert. That is why people come year after year, even if they have no one performing!”
There is also a raffle that night that in the past has featured a variety of items from wine, dining gift cards and a “Senior Basket” for the student heading off to college. There is also a separate iPAD raffle and tickets can be purchased for $10 ahead of time on the F.A.M.E. website or that night.
Tickets to the event are $50 and are on sale now at http://westford.com/fame/. For questions,fame_westford@yahoo.com, or call Lisa at 978-692-7397.
