The Westford Willows had the cards stacked against them in the Central New England Baseball Association postseason and ultimately the odds proved to be too much.
Westford fell at the hands of the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs in the first round of the CNEBA playoffs, losing both games in their best-of-three series.
Shrewsbury began at home with a 2-0 victory on July 25, followed by an 8-0 victory at Westford Academy on July 26.
The Dirt Dogs were then swept themselves by the Framingham A’s several days later.
Framingham will face off against the Clinton 76ers for the CNEBA Championship on Aug. 5
