Westford Community Access Television held its annual meeting on July 20, reporting positive financial news.
For fiscal 2016, the non profit organization reported cash flow of just over $23,000. The annual report attributed the result to “cost control measures, monthly budget to actual cost analysis, and the increased revenue in 2016 from renewed agreements with Verizon and Comcast for just under 5 percent of cable television revenue…”
WestfordCAT employs 6 staff members: Executive Director Lauren Horton, News Director Joyce Pellino Crane, Marketing Outreach Director Sarah Fletcher, Technology Director Stephen Edwards, Programming Coordinator Nick Woodbury and Editor/Producer Patty Stocker.
Renewing their posts on the board of directors were Ira Keltz, who served as president in 2016, Nancy Burns who served as Vice President, Tracey Tebrow, who served as Treasurer and Paul Playe. Nina Cimini, a volunteer video producer, was voted in as a new board member. New officers will be decided at the next monthly meeting.
The WestfordCAT board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at 487 Groton Road, Westford.
