Sophie is a 10-year-old calico cat recently diagnosed with cancer with an estimated 31 months to live. The Lowell Humane Society’s Marketing and Fundraising Manager, Crystal Arnott said that the shelter is looking for a special home for this affectionate little calico to live out her remaining years.
According to Arnott, Sophie has slightly more than two years to live, so the shelter staff members are looking for a special home where her condition is understood.
“She is a wonderful, loving, sweet girl, but her time with us will be very short,” said Arnott.
Despite her illness, Sophie loves to be held and cuddled.
“She absolutely loves to be pet,” says Arnott. “She hates other animals. She is a diva through and through. She would really love to be the only pet.”
