I started producing shows at Westfordcat in 2013. My first 48 shows were educational weather programs, ‘Weathering the Weather with Ed.’ In those shows I employed humor to keep the viewing public interested in what I was explaining. I used my college meteorology students on some of the shows. I also employed the shows as unique learning experiences for my students. I have raised almost $2,000 to support free downloads of these shows to non profits.
I now produce the Ed Cohen Variety Show. On March 12, the variety show will reach a big milestone. On that day, I will produce my 100th variety show. My faithful sidekicks Gino Frattallone and Niki Penta and I have provided singing, musical, political, legal, and dancing shows of interest.
As with my educational programs, these shows are loaded with humor. Everything is ad libbed. I like to feature new talent on these shows. One talent in particular I am very proud of having on my show more than once is a young lady, Sierra Spaziante. She is a very polished dancer, and she is only 13 years old. Simply amazing!
Westfordcat presents an eye on what is going on in Westford. It is indispensable to the people and Town of Westford.
