Through in-person and online events this year, WestfordCAT has been able to raise funds to continue their mission to bring the residents of Westford the highest quality local programming possible!

Fundraising is essential to keep programs going and growing.  Since 2015, WestfordCAT’s budget has declined due to over-the-top streaming services (Netflix, Prime, and others) cutting into cable TV subscriptions. Since 2016, the franchise fees from Verizon and Comcast have declined by $100,000. Year-long efforts to bridge that gap include fundraising events like the Holiday Online Auction as well as business sponsorships, program underwriting, kid’s summer programming, grant writing and donations.

One organizational goal is to be more engaged with three area high schools: Westford Academy, Nashoba Valley Technical High School and Innovation Academy Charter School. Currently two juniors are employed to cover WA sports. During the year WCAT has been able to employ two student interns as well as a recent graduate.

This final 2021 fundraiser features lots of gift cards, unique classes, collectibles, edibles (think chocolates) and includes one particularly popular item – a WA Junior Parking Pass for the 22/23 school year. The link below will reveal hand-painted ornaments, original art, jewelry and other unique gifts for giving.  Pick-up is easy at WestfordCAT on Saturday, December 4 from 10am – 2pm. Santa will be visiting WestfordCAT on Saturday for photo ops as well!

Get some shopping done and help WestfordCAT reach their year-end goal!

Auction ends on Friday, December 3 at 8pm.
