Hands down, there is no one more prepared to be a member of the Westford School Committee than Marisol Garcia.
Having served on the committee for five years, I know first hand the challenges we are facing as we navigate reentry and recovery post-pandemic. Mari’s passion for supporting mental health and knowledge of special education law will be an invaluable resource for our students and families.
With decades of experience in both advocacy for children and educational polices, she will bring a level of expertise to the table that few can. Her extensive knowledge of both the legislative and budgetary processes gives Westford the opportunity to have someone working for us who not only understands the system, but has a proven record of success navigating those issues at the state level.
It has been a privilege to be a member of the Westford School Committee, and my decision to move on was not one I made lightly, but I step down knowing that we are all in good hands with Mari. Caring, compassionate, and qualified, she will be a dedicated advocate for all of our students. I will be voting for Marisol Garcia on May 3rd, and I hope you will, too.
