WESTFORD — Primary Day has arrived in Westford, with voters travelling the the polls to choose their parties’ nominees in key races.

How and where to vote

Voters can vote at one of two polling locations, depending on their home address.

As of Dec. 31, 2021, the number of precincts has been consolidated down to two polling locations, Westford Academy and Stony Brook School.

Voters in precinct one, precinct three, precinct four and precinct seven vote at Westford Academy, while voters at precincts two, five and six vote at Stony Brook School. Voters who choose to vote in-person must vote at their assigned precinct. Voters can check their polling location here.

Polls will be open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The deadline for election workers to receive mail-in or absentee ballots is at 8 p.m. tonight. Though it is too late to mail a ballot, voters can deliver their absentee or mail-in ballots to the ballot drop box near Town Hall by 8 p.m.

The deadline to register to vote has passed. Voters must have registered to vote by Saturday, Aug. 27 at 4 p.m., or 10 days before the election.

Upcoming elections

Missed the deadline to register to vote? Voters have time to register for Westford’s Special Town Meeting at Westford Academy and the upcoming general election in November.

Voters who want to participate in the Oct. 17 Special Town Meeting must register to vote by Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. Voters that wish to participate in the Nov. 8 general election must register to vote by Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.

Special Town Meeting will be held on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
