WESTFORD — Public safety officials are investigating an incident at Nabnasset Lake where two deceased swans are believed to have been killed with a projectile.
The Westford Police Department, Animal Control, and the Massachusetts Environmental Police seek information from the public to aid the investigation.
“If you heard or saw anything suspicious in the Nabnasset Lake area on the evening of Monday, May 13 or early morning hours of Tuesday, May 14, please contact the Westford Police Department at 978-399-2345,” a press release from the department reads.
The department encourages residents in Newport Drive, Endmoor Road, Lakeside Terrace, Pondview Circle, Birchwood Drive or Grassy Lane to review home surveillance footage.
