So many of us spend our time rushing around and doing, taking little or no time for just being. We – adults and children – are overbooked, overloaded, and anxious. Stressed out parents and caregivers can unintentionally create stressed out kids. Dr. Christopher Willard, a psychotherapist at Tufts University (and in private practice), comes to Westford Thursday, April 2, to present Child’s Mind: Mindfulness Practices To Help Our Children Be More Focused, Calm, and Relaxed. Dr. Willard will provide an overview of mindfulness and meditation techniques designed to empower children and adults. He teaches parents and kids that confidence and power come from the ability to be aware of and comfortable with ourselves and our surroundings.
Dr. Willard’s talk will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Stony Brook Middle School, 9 Farmer Way, Westford, MA. The event is free and open to the public through the generosity of the Westford Parent Connection’s many sponsors.
