The following information came from the Westford Police Department.

Nov. 24, 12:30 a.m. – Police responded to an alleged fight on Princeton Way that occurred at a post-Patriots game party. The issue involved two grown men who got into an argument over parenting issues. One of the men punched the other according to one account told to police, however the men involved in the incident said that they had locked their arms together during the conflict and were struggling to hold themselves up.

Neither party wished to file charges. No one had any visible injuries.

Nov. 25, 8:59 p.m. – An officer was dispatched to Pleasant Street after a car struck a house.

The vehicle had severe damage on both the driver and passenger sides and a nearby fire hydrant was all damaged, with water spilling out onto the road.

A 7 foot high indent was found on the house from the impact.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the house said that he was heading westbound on Pleasant Street when another car swerved into his lane briefly, swerving back and hitting the hydrant. However, as he swerved out of the way to avoid the oncoming vehicle, the westbound driver careened into the house.

The eastbound driver blamed the lack of control on “summer racing tires,” and indicated he did drink a beer at the British Beer Company earlier in the evening. He also indicated that he was going faster than the speed limit.

A breathylizer test performed on the eastbound driver gave a reading of .013%, well within the legal limit. The eastbound driver also passed a series of sobriety tests. However, he was issued a citation for operating a vehicle in a reckless manner.

Nov. 27, 4:57 p.m. – While on patrol near the corner of Acton and Carlisle roads, an officer spotted a vehicle registered out of Rhode Island that had pulled over to the side of the road.

The officer talked to the operator of the vehicle who said that someone had tried to help her jump start her vehicle, but was unsuccessful. She indicated that AAA was on the way, but was still 45 minutes away.

As her lights were not working, which the officer believed created a dangerous situation due to foggy conditions in the area, the officer called a tow truck for the woman.

Nov. 28, 8:39 p.m. – One man with a vehicle registered out of New Hampshire was spotted on North Street looking at a house with a flashlight.

Police were dispatched to the scene to investigate and the man indicated that he was interested in buying the house and had received permission to look at the house.
