The following information came from the Westford Police Department.

Nov. 13, 11:56 a.m. – Employees at Eastern Bank called police after an irate customer came into the bank and began yelling over late fees on a loan.

The customer had allegedly called people at the bank and the bank’s call center repeatedly using profanity and belittling employees.

At no point did the customer threaten anyone with bodily harm or indicate they wanted to engage in a criminal act.

Police reached the customer, who apologized for his actions. Employees of the bank accepted the apology when told later by police.

Nov. 17, 9:30 a.m. – During a random drug sweep of Westford Academy, the Westford Police K-9 Unit discovered several bags with epi-pens and prescribed drugs that students had authorization to use, but no outside contraband or weapons.

Nov. 21, 7:49 p.m. – Officers were dispatched to Princeton Way after reports of a person arguing with two people within a Dodge Durango.

The owner of the Durango indicated that they were driving to see their daughter when they spotted the other person using their daughter’s vehicle driving the other way. The Durango owner and the other occupant of the Durango believed the daughter’s vehicle was being used without permission.

The person driving the other car, the husband of the daughter, stopped at the front of the Princeton Properties complex and the Durango couple followed, getting out of their vehicle to talk with him.

The other person told the Durango couple to get back into their vehicle and mind their own business, but the Durango couple would not comply, blocking the other vehicle’s route of escape.

Tempers flared, and the daughter’s husband indicated the Durango occupants became verbally abusive, with one of them telling him to “go back to his country.” The words were unnerving according to the man, as he had two children with him in the car.

No mention was made of whether the man had permission to use the car, although the daughter was inside the car and told the officer a day later that she was unaware the two sides were fighting. From her vantage point within the car, she believed the two sides were just having a conversation.

The officer requested that the Durango couple not attempt to block other vehicles in the future. Both sides understood and thanked the officer for his time.

Nov. 23, 2:56 p.m. – A Texas Road woman called police after receiving a piece of mail for someone allegedly living within her house. She told police she had lived in the house for 40 years and was unsure how someone’s name could be identified with her address. Police told the woman to contact the post office.
