Westford Unemployment Rate Sees Small Dip In Latest Report

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) recently released February 2016 unemployment statistics for each municipality in the Commonwealth, and the news was once again good for Westford.

In the release, the EOLWD announced a 3.5 percent unemployment rate for Westford, down from 3.7 percent in January.

Among Westford’s neighbors, Acton’s unemployment rate was 3.1 percent, Carlisle was 3.5, Chelmsford was 3.9, Groton was 3.4, Littleton was 3.6 and Tyngsborough was 4.4.

The highest unemployment rate statewide was Provincetown at 26.2 percent. Brookline had the lowest rate statewide at 2.2 percent.
