October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and the Chair of the Westford Coalition for Non-Violence (WCNV)/Westford Public Health Nurse, Gail Johnson, gathered a number of Westford residents together to discuss the issue of domestic violence. Founding members of the WCNV, Joanne Derr and Pat Reppucci, join Johnson along with the Town of Westford’s/Council on Aging’s Social Worker, Alison Christopher, also a WCNV member, and state Rep. James Arciero, a supporter of domestic violence awareness. The group discusses the mission of the WCNV,  how many victims are fearful of a stigma attached to abuse, how domestic violence has increased during the pandemic, as well what resources are available for those that need help. The discussion is moderated by Patty Stocker.
