WESTFORD — Westford Academy Girls’ Soccer won 3-0 to Groton-Dunstable in a home game at the Westford Academy Trustees Field on Sept. 23. 

Both teams had failed bids for goals throughout the first half of the game. Westford Academy went into halftime with eight unsuccessful shots on the goal.

Less than a minute into the second half, junior Martha Khusid (midfielder, #12) scored Westford Academy’s first goal.

The Ghosts’ momentum continued, with another goal scored by senior Tara Morris (fullback, #25) just two minutes later.

Less than six minutes into the second half, the Ghosts’ scored their third and final goal, with senior Lilli Wain (striker, #18) kicking the ball in from the box with an assist from Morris.

The Ghosts’ next game is Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. against Acton-Boxboro at the Westford Academy Trustees Field.
