Lowell General Hospital, which has a location at Cornerstone Square along Littleton Road, recently attained Magnet recognition as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program.
The hospital first achieved Magnet recognition in 2010 and is one of nine healthcare organizations in Massachusetts with Magnet designation. The hospital is one of only 4% of U.S. hospitals that have achieved Magnet recognition for a second time—a process considered even more difficult than achieving initial designation.
“Achieving Magnet recognition is a testament to this innovation and the commitment of the Lowell General Hospital team. We made a promise to our community to provide Complete connected care in every aspect of our patient’s care and experience at Lowell General Hospital,” says Joseph White, President of Lowell General Hospital. “This official recognition from the ANCC is an incredible achievement. It shows that we are taking our promise seriously and are dedicated to exceeding the expectations and care needs of the people we serve.”
