The following information was provided by the Westford Police Department.Â
May 20, 11:29 a.m. –Â A motorcyclist went to the Westford Police seeking legal advice over a used Yamaha JX600S he recently purchased for $800.
The motorcycle did not come with a title, and the cyclist was unaware that a title was needed to re-register the vehicle.
However, the original owner could not be found.
The officer confirmed that the motorcycle would need a title for registration and recommended filing a case in civil court if the original owner could not be found.
After repeated attempts, the original owner was found on June 1 and offered the cyclist a refund.
June 6, 12:05 a.m. –Â One resident on Groton Road reported that someone was loudly banging on his front door but then vanished.
The individual that banged on the door could not be found.
June 6, 10:47 p.m. –Â An anonymous individual called the police from Long Road to report a bonfire occuring at the end of their street.
Eight to 10 individuals were seen by officers on the beach at a house on the end of the street with a small gathering. There was a small fire, but no music or loud noises.
Everyone at the party was over 21 years of age according to reports.
The party goers were told they could keep the fire going as long as it was attended, but they may be asked to disperse if the music got louder.
Another party across the street was discovered, this one to celebrate a graduating high school student.
Officers requested that the music at this event be lowered, or they would return to request the party-goers go home.
