Westford Will Remember Former Selectman On Saturday

John Wrobel, better known to Westford residents as “Jack” Wrobel, will be laid to rest this weekend.

Serving on the Westford Board of Selectmen from 1992 to 2001, Wroble also served the town as a Library Trustee from 2004 to 2013, as well as a member of the Personnel Board from 1984 to 1992 and from 2002 to 2003.

He also served on a variety of other committees, including a current tenure on the Master Plan Implementation Committee.

Born in St. Louis, MO on July 16, 1941, Wroble served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years.

He passed away on July 7 and was cremated on July 10.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Catherine’s Parish, with visitation hours beginning at 9 a.m. and a mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18.

Graveside services will occur later that day at St. Catherine’s Cemetery and the Board of Selectmen decreed that flags will fly at half-staff throughout the day.
