WESTFORD — A Red Flag Warning has been issued for most of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut through Friday night.
Due to high wind and dry conditions, the National Weather Service issued the warning from noon until 8 p.m. on Friday.
Cape Cod and The Islands are not affected by the warning.
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency recommends residents dispose of smoking materials properly and use extra care when burning outdoors.
Per the Westford Fire Department, open burning will not be allowed during the warning.
